Jambo kwa Kitengela

Jambo kwa Kitengela,

my/our days are full of all kinds of happenings. Maybe this could be called a"romantic" picture of a pastor's wife's week ; ).

Sunday  Breakfast at 7 am, feeding also the dog, cats and chicken. Then we rush to the first Bible school class starting at 8 am, book of Roman's taught by p.Jukka. While he is teaching, I cook tea with Wilkista, to the Bible school students. During the brake we serve tea and bread.

At 10:30 starts the music practice and service  at 11 am. In Sunday school we rotate three teachers: p.Moses, Mike and  me.  Around 1 pm most of the church goes  out evangelizing, to come to eat lunch, made by us ladies. We ladies have made rotating system, so that everyone can go out to share the gospel. After afternoon tea  from 2-3:30 pm we watch ABD by p.Stevens.

For many the frosting on the cake, is the sports activity at the church, after the busy day.

Monday: we do rest…, devotional at home around 10 am. Thank God p. Jukka shares the Living Word of God with us on a daily basis.

Tuesday:  cleaning, cooking at home plus laundry… From 4 -5 pm we evangelize in Noonkopir,  from there to the Church History class 6 - 8:30 pm, taught by p.Alfred. Me sosh come home with  Imani, so that Eva can go to the class.

Wednesday: we have mid-week service and prayer 6:30 - 8 pm. Often we visit people, before the church.

Thursday:  many times I visit ladies with Eva, Agnes and mama-Lucy. Team meeting is for everybody at the church 5 - 6 pm. After that 6 - 8 pm, teaching about the godly relationships. For that we cook tea and serve bread.

Friday: p.Peter from Kiambu comes for Bible school, so our house is full. In the Bible school 6 - 8:30 pm, p.Jukka teaches the book of Acts. I'm home with Imani preparing the dinner, for hungry people.

Saturday: breakfast that is often (also during the week) done by p.Jukka and p.Moses. Daily devotional around 10 am. Cleaning, cooking and laundry. From 4 - 5 pm we go from door to door/visitations in the church area. From there I come home with Imani, surprise, surprise to cook ; ). The others stay for Leadership class 6 - 8.30, taught by p.Moses.

A thought from p. Jukka's morning devotional.

Mark 4:35-40 Jesus told to His disciples, lets us go over to the other side of the lake. As they went on the storm arose. Two storms  are seen here. One outside of the boat and the other  in the minds of the disciples. Jesus was sleeping and the disciples were afraid.

Questions arose? Disciples, Jesus why do you sleep, are you not caring that we perish?  Jesus why are fearful and you don't have faith (firm relying trust) in Me?
Jesus woke up and rebuked the wind and the peace came.

Application; Jesus told to His disciples lets us go to a new place. The same in our lives also. When God leads us into new things, we face fear, opposition and challenges, where do we find help from? As p. Jukka said this morning, we find it from the Word of God, by faith (firm relying trust) in Him and He gives us His peace.
